Strong, gusty wind was blowing out of the south. I was driving west, trying to keep from being blown off the highway. Or rebounding into the oncoming lane. This is one drawback of vans.
Did you have a deadline that kept you on the road in those conditions? Isn't that why we live in self-contained vehicles; to be able to wait out those strong winds?
I have a fight out of Albuquerque in a couple of days and had various stops planned before then. Don't want to be making a mad dash at the last moment from Roswell. Besides, it looks like this wind will be around a while. Might as well go.
