Who are you now?

You who are on the road
Must have a code that you can live by
And so become yourself
Because the past is just a goodbye
Questions for my fellow nomads:

Have you rethought your life, your values, your goals since hitting the road?

Do you have a code?

Have you become your authentic self?

Is your past over and done with or is it part of your present and future?

What would you teach “the children” about your experiences, your changes?

Which dreams would you feed them?

Which one would you want them to know you by?

Have things worked out pretty much the way you hoped?

  1. My father actually taught me when I was a teen that life is a road and things we are strongly interested about at a certain point on the road may well fade into the distance as we come upon new things on the road. Of course meaning we humans are not static, we are always moving along the road. That lesson has indeed been verified with my own experience of "the road". It does not matter how you are living or what you are living. There are of course some exceptions to such things as some people do remain passionate for certain things all of their lives such as art and music and even exploration or sports. But a great part of that can be accounted for with the addiction to the endorphins that such things generate. If something makes you truly happy then you will tend to stick to it for a long time or even a lifetime.
