Less view

It was foggy when I rolled into Crescent City CA at about noon yesterday. It cleared up some by mid-afternoon, then fogged right up again as the sun set. I’m writing this at about 9 AM and the mist is a little thinner than when I woke up at 5:30. I suppose today’s weather will follow the same pattern. Such is life along the coast in the Pacific Northwest. I’m okay with it. (Although I’m even more okay with some sunshine.)

  1. Methinks you're a tad early. Back in '23 Kristen & I went to see The Playa sans burners in June. It'd been pleasant, but overnight went from low 80s to mid-nineties. We headed for the coast and landed -- under clear skies - on or around the first of July. The weather held until mid-August with only a little fog now and then. We stayed at Florence Keller County Park where the entrance & exit is not guarded and the redwoods are beautiful. There are easily accessible garbage bins and porta-potties on the far side of the Day Use area. It says $5 to use but you can drive through. Camphost was a young christian family very friendly & pre-occupied with their progeny. I think there are several water spigots throughout the park, but memory fails. It's pretty.
