Yeah, it's my experience that unless you have a great deal of patience or an exotic need for social interaction, groups are best avoided. That said, there's a Thanksgiving "do" scheduled by the North American Landsailing Association for the upcoming holiday. I recommend the activity and I'll venture to add that, like sailors rather than motorboaters, they have an aesthetic more attuned (this *is* a sweeping generality) to nature.
