First, even though I'm camped at the Tillamook airport, I had no idea the Tillamook County Fair was this weekend. Second, I had no idea there was such a thing as racing Model T Fords with pigs. I know where I need to be next August.
After five years of living this way, I realize it's not all that different from living in a building. It's just that this "building" moves. I'm living more comfortably than my ancestors (or many people alive today). No one asked them if they had a plan for when they were incapable of living the way they were. Someday I'll become physically unable to take care of myself, whether in a van or an apartment. What I might do then is the same in either case. I don't want to go out bedridden and helpless or with a malfunctioning brain. I don't want to burden anyone with my care. So I'll find a way to check out. There's no point extending decline and decay.
Tillamook ice creams are the better ones on the market.
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
ReplyDeleteWhen pigs fly, thought I'd never see it.
ReplyDeleteok i know this is off topic, but do you have a plan for when you are not capable of this life style?

DeleteAl, they used to have an event like this at the 4th of July St. Paul rodeo, north of Salem. It was a neat event and a lot of fun.
