Unless I’m camped with friends, this is what I consider a proper amount of space between me and other folks boondocking in a popular area.
Hmmm. Rather liberal, I'd say. Within sight is too close for me. I applaud your tolerance.

Van Aid is going to be here next week, so that's certainly true in my very near future.
Saw a YouTube the other day that was in central Oregon, around Burns. looks like there might be some 5000 yard circles available there, the bummer being there was about a foot of snow everywhere. No nearby neighbors, though.
South of Burns a way is the Alvord dry lake (photo at top of blog) where you can have miles of empty space around you.
Looks pretty bleak and dusty. As you say though, a lot of empty space. All of eastern Oregon looked like that to me every time I went thru it.
Perhaps good places would stay good if bloggers and vloggers would stop mentioning specific locations on the internet.
