I did some fishing when I was a kid because we lived by a lake. I did some fishing (fresh water and salt water) about 20 years ago when I worked on the advertising for Shimano rods and reels. But I have no desire to do it now.
Once when I was camped at Fortuna Pond a local asked if I was going to fish. "Nah, I figure the fish are happier where they are." He looked at me like I had insulted his mother.
I fished and hunted in my youth but as I aged it grew increasingly difficult to kill. Eventually I couldn't subject a worm to the hook. I still enjoy many types of meat including fish.
You've never mentioned fishing. Have you ever given it a try?
