I checked and learned I had been here about the same time last year. That was a surprise. I thought it had been longer. The difference, though, was last year I was nearly alone, and this year I got the last available spot. Maybe that’s because it’s the weekend. Maybe it’s because the weather has finally warmed up and dried out. Maybe it’s just that there are a lot more nomads.
There is definitely a lot more RVers running around in central, west and coastal Texas this year.

DeleteI think you are right, Al. When it was cold last winter, we huddled in the Yuma area and near the Salton Sea. However there is quite a movement to the lifestyle. From my point of view,the numbers at the RTR are telling.

ReplyDeletedoes'nt last long for most. It's hard longterm unless you're retired or have a steady income.
Yeah, could be a backlash if locals can’t find a spot. Best to avoid weekends near population centers.
