I like it. Straightforward, time-tested, and no special cheaprvliving consultations needed.
Anyone? Anyone at all? I wouldn’t want to be next to occupy that site or use that fire ring. Go at least 100 feet from established campsites.
The way I see it, the ashes filter the pee, rain and dew dilute it, and sunlight kills what's left. Oh, and animals are already peeing everywhere anyway.
Fire rings are where people cook.
