I miss home

Almost a week without the Rolling Steel Tent. It’s my home. It’s where I’m truly me.

  1. Hang in there. Along with all the warm fuzzies that the word home brings, it also reminds me of the Mark Twain quip: “home is where when you gotta go there they gotta let you in.”

  2. Won't be long, hang in there Al.
GP and M6 are both holes in the road. You'll feel better when you turn the key and get the fuck outta there.
    The RST no doubt agrees.

  3. Is there any cuisine that is remark-able at your layover? Have you been making meals in your 'apartment'? Are there any places you feel safe enough to dine in? Have you tried anything new that you will add to your yes list/no list? Which Tillamook ice cream flavor is the best? How 'bout that drive thru bakery? Any chance of you sharing some food porn?

    1. Walking distance around here is mostly other hotels, fast food, cellular stores, offices and other small commercial enterprises. For food, I've been going to places that had more than drive-thru, since I had nothing to drive through. A mom & pop Mexican place had a good carne asada burrito. The Chinese place was disappointing. Most people have been good about masking and maintaining distance.
