Shady character

You can tell it’s heating up here at 5,800 feet in southwest New Mexico. Not only have I worn shorts since 10 AM (awk, blindingly pale legs), I broke out my shade netting. Ah, that’s better.

Here’s a link to a previous post about the netting.

  1. At least you don't have to be concerned about HLS. That's what my friend named her leg condition when she hadn't shaved them all winter. (Hairy Leg Syndrome)

    1. Shaved legs are a lot cooler I found out when I rode bikes a lot.

  2. How would you compare white camo netting with shade cloth? BTW, I don't think the standard 70% shade cloth offers much shade. I much prefer a more dense shade cloth, such as 90%.

    1. I’ve never used shade cloth, so I have nothing to compare. I would guess my net is roughly equivalent to 50% shade cloth, judging by the fabric-to-hole ratio.
